Are you interested in becoming a member of the RAeS Munich Branch?

If you are not an RAeS (International) member yet and want to apply to our Munich Branch for membership as what the Main RAeS call a "Branch Subscriber*" you can either:

• download the application form as a PDF-File or a DOC-File,
• answer all questions and send it
• via e-mail to secretary[at]raes-munich.de,
• by fax to 09070-909604 or
• by post to RAeS Munich Branch Secretary, Pilzstr 19, 86660 Tapfheim.

In both cases it would be a great advantage if you would authorize us to withdraw the annual membership fee - which currently is 20,00 Euro per year (10,00 Euro per year for students) - directly from your bank account via the (German) procedure of the "Ermächtigung zum Einzug von Forderungen durch Lastschriften". As this authorization has to be done in writing, you would therefore have to download the appropriate form anyway and transmit it via FAX or paper mail.
If you are already a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society ("International", i. e. in 4 Hamilton Place, London), then you do not need to do more then to notify us or the RAeS Hamburg Branch using one of the ways offered in - Contact - on our or the Hamburg Branch's website - Contact -. Every RAeS member no matter what membership grade will be accepted automatically as a member either of our Branch (preferrably if living in Southern Germany) or of the RAeS Hamburg Branch (if living in the Northern part of our country) - the choice is yours. Of course we can also assist you when you have to make this decision and/or pass your message on to the Hamburg Branch.

If you decide that you want to register with our Munich Branch, using our Branch application form would help us to get the required information about you quickly and in the right format - so we recommend using the form here as well, although then the form you send will not be an "application" in the actual sense of the word. An "Erma"chtigung zum Einzug von Forderungen durch Lastschriften" is then unnecessary, as you pay your membership fee directly to RAeS (International) in London.

By the way: We can offer you the facility to pay your annual membership fee to Hamilton Place through on of our two German Branches in Euro so as to help you save transfer costs you may have now! Just contact us...

*: Membership as a "Branch Subscriber" in our RAeS Munich Branch does NOT entitle the applicant a membership grade of the "Main" Royal Aeronautical Society (4 Hamilton Place, London) as well. However, for your practical membership this will not make any difference. You will have access to everything our Branch offer its members whether a member of the "Main" RAeS or not.
